This free speed test measures download, upload, latency, jitter and packet loss directly in your browser. Tests run against edge endpoints to reflect real-world performance for streaming, gaming and video calls.
Download/upload throughput comes from transferring test data of different sizes; latency and jitter come from repeated quick pings; packet loss is approximated by bursts of tiny requests with timeout handling. Wired connections typically yield more stable metrics.
Comparable to other major tests, but Wi-Fi quality, background traffic and ISP routing can affect results. Try multiple runs or use an Ethernet cable for consistency.
This self-hosted version does not store personal results by default. All measurements execute in your browser.
Streaming benefits from higher download (20+ Mbps). Video calls prefer upload > 3 Mbps and latency < 100 ms. Gaming is most sensitive to latency (< 50 ms) and jitter (< 10 ms).
